This course is designed as a bridging course intended to facilitate a level of growth and learning for students to develop the skills needed to support the next step on their further learning journey.
This course focuses on creating opportunities of learning through a range of activities and tasks that challenge and promote a better understanding of self. Building confidence, as well as preparing for adulthood.
Maths and English will also be part of the study programme and a session in a chosen Vocational area.
You will cover areas including personal learning and development, money management and independent living skills. Maths and English will be a compulsory part of the study programme.
Students will learn;
- Developing own interpersonal skills
- Improving own learning and performance
- Personal money management
- Optional Vocational units
Level 1 Extended Certificate in Skills for Further Learning and EmploymentExtra Studies:
Maths and English classes on a weekly basis to help make progress in these two key areas.
The students will study through a variety of methods including; written work, discussions, projects, assignments and practical.
You will complete a variety of coursework that will support you in your development and progression towards achieving this qualification.
- You must already be working at a level appropriate to the study programme; this will be discussed at interview to see if this is the most suitable course.
